A song of triumph, a song of might
A song of glory in His delight
A song of faith, sent from above
A song anew, His faithful love/
My journey filled with arrows sharp
Firm bow arms limber, my Father taught
Unaware of life, my training ground
Would yield such strength, a victor’s crown/
My journey long, the valleys deep
Sometimes lonely, often weak
My path was lit, His Word my light

Dreams of the life I wanted
Acclaim for the pursuits I deserved
Success from the road I traveled
My destiny clinched, a road alone/
Then life took over
Dreams forced into vapor uncontrolled
The price of incurable wounds
