Acclaim for the pursuits I deserved

Success from the road I traveled

My destiny clinched, a road alone/

Then life took over

Dreams forced into vapor uncontrolled

The price of incurable wounds

Success trampled the best of my soul/

Now alone with my Maker

This path brought me before

The God of success reached down and rescued me
